Ahmad Rida Khan Barelwi taught a innovated ritual that “fulfilling one’s needs” called “Salat al-Ghawthiyya” or “Salat al-Asrar”.
It involves performing a two-rak‘ah optional prayer in a specific manner, followed by specific actions.
Translation: The phrase “Māʿdin al-jūd wa al-karam wa ālih wa sallim” (the mine of generosity and nobility, and his family, and send peace upon him) is recited, and the servant says it in this way:
“O Allah, send prayers upon our master and our leader Muhammad, the mine of generosity and nobility, and upon his noble family, and upon his noble son, and his noble community. O Most Generous of those who show generosity, send blessings and peace.”
Then he should turn with his heart towards the radiant city of Madinah and say eleven times:
“O Messenger of Allah, O Prophet of Allah, help me and assist me in fulfilling my need, O fulfiller of needs.”
Then he should take a step in the direction of Iraq, which from our land lies between the north and the west. This was clarified by my master Sayyidi Hamzah. This is also the direction of al-Madinah al-Munawwarah and Karbala.
