The translator for sunnah.com here did not translate loins of Allah but it’s clear in the arabic. خلق الله الخلق، فلما فرغ منه قامت الرحم فأخذت بحقو
Allah created the creation, and when He had finished it, the womb stood and clung to the haqu (loin) of the Most Merciful
The root word for بِحَقْوِ is حقو which means loins. and this is predicated to allah ﷻ we affirm it on its apparent as we do with other attributes without likening them to ours

Ibn Taymiyyah responds to Ar Razi saying that ta’wil would be necessary for this hadith and he says he needs evidence to do ta’wil and he quotes Al Qadi Abu Yala saying it’s not impossible to take this hadith upon its apparent and we affirm it without saying it is a part of a limb of Allah ﷻ and the connection here between creation and Allah ﷻ would not be of physical contact.

Translation: Ar-Razi said: “The Prophet said: ‘The womb clings to the haqu (loin) of the Most Merciful and says: Connect those who connect me, and sever those who sever me.’ This necessitates ta’wil (interpretation).” It is said to him: “Rather, this is among the reports that are affirmed by those who affirm their parallels.
Your claim that it necessitates interpretation without specific evidence is invalid. If you present the same argument that you use for interpreting statements like ‘He created with His two hands’ and ‘He placed His foot’ and similar texts, this argument itself needs to be proven, as will be explained.
And if you claim here that interpretation is necessary by consensus, then you are placing this and similar reports among those that no one doubts require interpretation. But this is not the case.” Al-Qadi Abu Ya’la (d. 458 AH) said: “Know that it is not impossible to take this report according to its apparent meaning.
The haqu (loin) and hijza (waist) are attributes of the essence of Allah, but not in the sense of a limb or part. And the womb is attached to them not in a manner of physical connection or contact, but rather the term is used as it has been used in the Shari’ah.
Bayan Talbis Al Jahmiyyah By Ibn Taymiyyah (6/205-207)
Abī ʿĪsā al-Madīnī al-Iṣfahānī (d.581AH) says that it is preferable to take the apparent of this hadith

Translation: And in the hadith: “Indeed, the womb took hold of the hujra of the Most Merciful.” Some said: This means it sought refuge with Him and turned to Him for protection.
What supports this is His statement in the hadith: “This is the place of one seeking protection from You against cutting ties of kinship.”
Others said: Its meaning is that its name (rahim) is derived from the name of the Most Merciful (ar-Rahman), as if it is connected to the name of the Most Merciful, taking hold of its middle. This is like the other hadith: “It (the womb) is a branch (shajna) from the Most Merciful.” And interpreting it according to its apparent meaning is more appropriate.
